Here at Chester Park Elementary School of the Arts, we have the only strings program in the district!

As part of our weekly Fine Arts rotation, each 3rd grade class comes to the strings room to study violin once a week for 45 minutes. Selected students may switch to viola or cello for 4th and 5th grade. All told, students receive 3 years of string training within the regular school day. 

Orchestra GT is an audition group for 4th and 5th graders, which meets after school once a week for an hour and a half.
