Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Tirmerial Barnette
I was born and raised in Rock Hill, SC. I attend Coastal Carolina University where I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. After receiving my bachelor's degree I went on to attend Winthrop University and Columbia College where I received my Master's Degree in Education. I have been teaching preschool students with developmental delays for 13 years, 11 of which have been here at the School of Inquiry. I currently hold certifications in the following areas: elementary education, early childhood education, and early childhood special education.
Children with disabilities hold a special place in my heart. I believe that all children have the ability to learn; it is up to us to figure out how each child learns. I believe in treating each child as if they were my own. When your child enters my classroom, they've gained another mother!
On a personal note, I am married to my sweetheart and we have 2 sons, Caleb and Levi, that are the joys of our lives. We loving every minute of being their parents! My hobbies include singing, listening to music, spending time with my loved ones, and d-i-y craft projects. I also enjoy participating in retail therapy...shopping! My personal motto is "Try to make someone smile each day! For yesterday's gone, today's almost over, and tomorrow isn't promised."
