New Student Enrollment

Enrollment Requirements                          

1.      You must be the parent or legal guardian of the student you are registering.  If you are not, please contact Ms. Tressa Harrington, Director of Attendance, at 803-385-6122.

 2.      Before registering, gather copies of the documents below. We must have the items below before the enrollment process can be finalized.  

  • Proof of Residence (two forms required) - home telephone bill, rental agreement, gas bill, current electric bill

  • Parent/Guardian Valid Picture ID

  • Medicaid Card (if applicable)

  • Proof of Birth - Long form legal birth certificate or other proof of birth

  • S.C. Certificate of Immunization (shot record)

  • Proof of Income (required for 4K only) - Medicaid Card, W-2 form, or income tax statement

 3.      All documentation should be uploaded to the online registration portal.  Any documents you are unable to upload can be dropped off at the front office of your child’s school during regular business hours. Regular business hours are Monday–Friday from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Pre-K and Kindergarten Information

Age Requirements: Students must be 4 years old for 4K or 5 years old for 5K on or by September 1, 2025.

Pre-K (4K CERDEP*) Eligibility for Enrollment

  • The student’s legal residence must be in Chester County with a parent or legal guardian.

  • Parent/Guardian must have verification of Medicaid or annual family income of 185% or below the federal poverty guidelines as determined annually by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.

  • Once enrollment reaches the capacity of 20 students per class, students will be put on a waiting list. 

  • School Choice is not available for 4K students at Chester Park Complex.

The 4K program's priority is to serve economically at-risk children first.  Any slots not filled with eligible children may be filled with academically at-risk students or special education children (inclusion model) who do not meet the economic eligibility.

Parents/Guardians will be notified regarding their 4K child’s screening. Parents/guardians will also be notified by July if their child is or is not accepted in the 4K program.
