Hello! Welcome to Chester Middle School! My name is Pamela Brown and I teach Art! A little bit about me, I graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelors of Art degree in Art Education. I loved my time at Winthrop and had many valuable experiences learning to teach and making art. I am excited to join the excellent faculty and staff at Chester Middle School. 

My family and I have recently moved to York from Rock Hill. We have lived in the area for the past 20 years. We love the Carolinas. My husband and I are from the West. He grew up in Seattle and I grew up in a small town in Utah. We met when we were in college. We have 6 sons. We have recently added 2 daughter-in-laws and a son from another family that needed a soft place to land. And if that were not crazy enough, we have a Cock-a-poo, 2 cats and a turtle. We have a special needs son that needs our combined efforts to care for. My boys have really stepped up to help raise him and keep him safe. As a mother, I could not be more proud of them for their sacrifice. We take one day at a time and try to enjoy it as best as we can. We love to be together for holidays and beach trips. We are grateful for our simple yet challenging lives.

Art is a great way for me to celebrate the moments I always want to remember. I seek to empower my art students with the art making techniques and art making ideas that will enrich their educational experience here.
