My name is Teri Evans and I graduated from Winthrop University with a degree in education. I also have a master’s degree in divergent learning. I am thrilled to be a part of CMS! I am a very outgoing person and I try to carry this over into my classroom. I know this year will be very exciting and full of wonderful learning opportunities for my students!

I was born in Dover, Ohio, but moved to Rock Hill, SC when I was 5 years old. I have lived in Rock Hill since then, with the exception of a five year stay in St. Augustine, Florida. My passion for children and teaching started early when I became an aunt at the age of four. I am the baby of seven children, and I have a 17 year old daughter. I have been teaching for 18 years. My teaching career includes 1 year teaching second grade, 2 years teaching third grade, 9 years teaching fourth grade, 5 years teaching fifth grade, and 2 years teaching sixth grade here at CMS! I taught for two years while I lived in Florida. The remainder of my 18 years, I have been teaching here at Chester. I enjoy watching college, especially the CLEMSON TIGERS! I also enjoy watching NFL, especialy PITTSBURGH STEELERS!! My other hobbies inclued softball, camping, and fishing.  I am also very active in my church, and I especially enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
