About Me

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!

I am First Sergeant Matthew Sampson, the Army Instructor in the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) Department. I am in my fifth year here at Great Falls Middle/High School and I am very proud to be a part of this community teaching, guiding, and mentoring the future great minds of this country. I am retired from the Army after 24 years of honorable and faithful service to our great nation. During my tenure in the Army, I have served overseas at: Korea, Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Poland, Lithuania, Germany, and stateside: Fort Sill, OK; Fort Carson, CO; Fort Stewart, GA; Fort Lewis, WA; and finally retired serving at the Pentagon in 2019. I received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Baker College of Michigan in 2020, and currently I am attending Baker College for my master's in business administration in which I am on track to graduate in 2025. I look forward to seeing you all in the community while working diligently to guide our children to be better citizens in our society.
