Welcome to my webpage!  I started teaching in 1981.  I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood and a masters degree in language and literacy. I am honored to be Teacher of the Year five times. I have a heart for students, families, and literacy.

I am a mom to three adult children.  They are my pride and joy.  I like reading historical fiction, gardening, my dogs, and live music.

I'm looking forward to "growing" students as readers!

I have been in education for 21 years.  I worked at the First Baptist Church Pre-K program in Rock Hill for two years.  This is my nineteenth year at Lewisville Elementary.  I worked in kindergarten here for 15 years, helped in First grade and helped teach Social Skills classes, etc., for a year, and have worked in 4 Pre-K now for the last 3 years.  I have an associate degree from USC Lancaster.  I love working with and teaching children. I am married and have two grown children. I love walking and hiking and also going shopping.
