I grew up in the community of Lando and attended Lewisville High School, graduating as valedictorian back in 1989.  After attending Clemson for two years, I transferred to Winthrop and completed my B.A. in Mathematics in 1993.  I taught math for four years at Lancaster High School before coming back to my alma mater in 1997.  I now teach mostly science and engineering classes.

On a personal note, I have been married to my wonderful wife, Lisa, since 1993 and we live in Fort Lawn.   We have 3 sons - John, Ben, and Sam, all of which either graduated from or currently attend Clemson University.   I attend First Baptist Church Richburg where I am the worship leader.  My other hobbies include yardwork, reading, gardening, playing music, and working with computers.
