Suicide Prevention Awareness and Resources

Suicide Prevention Awareness allows increased knowledge and resources to remove the stigma, and offer hope and support.  Suicide can be a scary topic and increasing the comfort level of talking about mental health is essential.  The National Alliance of Mental Illness reports that 90% of individuals who commit suicide have symptoms of a mental health condition.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for individuals 10 to 34.  The good news is that suicide is preventable. We can all participate in the effort to prevent suicide and create a healthier environment.
