CCSD is happy to announce that our Board of Trustees approved the first reading of the 2024 – 2025 budget during its last meeting. The budget included an average 6.5% salary increase for teachers, a 5% increase for bus drivers, and a 5% cost of living plus step increase for all other employees.
Additionally, a NEW $2500 Certified Classroom Teacher Bonus was included. This bonus is an initiative of the Board to recruit and retain full-time classroom teachers in our schools.
Other budget items included an 11.8% increase in employer health insurance contributions, a minimum wage increase to Instructional Assistants, and new positions including 18 positions previously funded through ESSER. These proposed changes aim to enhance employee compensation, improve recruitment and retention, and address the increased costs of benefits and insurance, ensuring the district remains competitive and financially sustainable.
The 2024-2025 budget maintains 228 Millage Rate with No Millage Increase.
