Mr. Abram Scott

Principal

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter to you as your new principal at Chester High School. It is truly an honor to become a part of the Chester High family and community. Even though I have only had limited interactions with the faculty and parents thus far, I am incredibly excited to become a part of this unique and special place.

I come to you with over 13 years of experience working with students on all three levels (elementary, middle, and high). I have served as a paraprofessional at the elementary school level. At the middle and high school levels, I have served as an assistant principal, athletic director, head football coach, assistant football coach, assistant athletic director, special education coordinator, and a teacher (health and PE, social studies, weight room). Most recently I have served as the Director of the Freshmen Academy at Boiling Springs High School.

This summer, I plan to spend the majority of my time working with Mrs. Patton, Mrs. Williams, and Mr. Jayakumar to ensure a smooth transition for all of us. I plan to get to know our building, our community, and familiarize myself with the unique needs of our school. I believe wholeheartedly that every student deserves a quality education and that only happens when the school and the families work together for the best interests of our children. With that in mind, I will be calling on all of our faculty, staff, and parents to work as a singular unit so we can best serve our children.

I am truly honored to be given this opportunity and look forward to immersing myself completely in our school and in our community. I believe my main responsibility is to put our teachers in the best possible position to succeed, as they will in turn put our children in the best possible position to succeed. I look forward to meeting all of you. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share.
