Dr. Joshua Williams
Principal
Dr. Joshua Williams has been named Principal at Chester High School. Williams most recently served as the Principal at Shaw Academy in Laurinburg, N.C. During his time at Shaw, attendance rates increased by 21%, and the school’s graduation rate increased by 5%. In addition to his time at Shaw Academy, Dr. Williams spent time as an assistant principal at Hoke County High School and Hoke County Middle School, Curriculum Director at Charlotte Learning Academy, and as a science teacher at Dillon High School. Dr. Williams holds two degrees from Wingate University, where he obtained his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. He started his journey in education at Francis Marion University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology.
