On Saturday, February 7, 2026, the Chester Senior High School JROTC Drone Team competed in the 4th Brigade Best of the Best Drone Championship held at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
The Cyclone Battalion Drone Team proudly claimed its first trophy, earning the "Judges Award." As part of the competition, teams participated in a private interview with a panel of judges to discuss a variety of topics related to teamwork, problem-solving, and technical proficiency. Known as "Cyclone Recon Detachment," the team was recognized for special accomplishments, perseverance, and going above and beyond expectations, qualities that often extend beyond what can be captured by game scores alone.
This achievement is a testament to the team's dedication, professionalism, and resilience. Congratulations to the entire Drone Team for an outstanding performance and a job well done.
