Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is open! Please review the information below, and contact the school or the District Attendance Office if you have any questions.
Steps for Registration:
- You must be the parent or legal guardian of the student you are registering. If you are not, please contact Ms. Tressa Harrington, Director of Attendance.
- Before registering, gather copies of the following documents below.
We must have the items below before the enrollment process can be finalized.
- Proof of Residence (2 forms: home telephone bill, rental agreement, gas bill, current electric bill)
- Parent/Guardian valid picture ID
- Medicaid Card (if applicable)
- Child’s Social Security Card (optional)
- Proof of Birth (legal birth certificate or other proof of birth)
- S.C. Certificate of Immunization (shot record)
- Proof of Income (required for K4 only): Medicaid Card, W-2 form, or income tax statement
- Download and complete registration forms from the district website or forms may be obtained from the elementary schools.
Drop off forms and supporting documents from step 2 at the elementary school in your attendance area Mondays – Fridays from 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. or Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. or Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Age Requirements:
Students must be 4 years old (for K4) or 5 years old (for K5) on or by September 1, 2024.
Pre-K (K4 CERDEP*) Eligibility for Enrollment:
- The student’s legal residence must be in Chester County with a parent or legal guardian.
- Parents must have verification of Medicaid or annual family income of 185% or below the federal poverty guidelines as promulgated annually by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
- Once enrollment reaches capacity (20 students per class), students will be put on a waiting list.
School Choice is not available for Pre-K students at Chester Park Complex.
The Pre-K program's priority is to serve economically at-risk children first. Any slots that have not been filled with eligible children may be filled with academically at-risk students or special education children (inclusion model) who do not meet the economic eligibility.

Parents will be notified of information regarding your K4 child’s screening. In addition, parents will be notified by July if their child is accepted or not in the pre-k program.
