Car Rider Procedures REMINDERS                              2024-2025

Our goal at Lewisville Elementary is to keep all students safe. Please read the following car rider     procedures and adhere to the guidelines.

A.M.-Arrival

Scheduling & Car Rider Information | Memorial Drive Elementary

· Students may be dropped off at the front of the building between 7:15-8:00 a.m. The doors do not open for students until 7:15 a.m.—Please do not drop students off prior to this time as we do not have supervision.

· Parents/guardians should always pull along the curb and stop at the furthest cone available (make sure to pull to the top cone if open) to unload students. This will allow others behind you to unload at the same time and help the line move  faster. Never unload from the passing lane as students may be required to pass in front of moving cars.

· Cars should exit the unload line following the car in front of them. It is a safety hazard to pull around unloading cars as other visitors may be attempting to park and/or crossing the parking lot.

· Students should not be allowed to unload from a parking space unless a parent/guardian is     accompanying them into the building. Students should never cross the parking lot alone!          Remember in the mornings parents should remain in the car rider line and not park to unload your students.

· All students arriving after 8:00 a.m. are tardy and must be signed in at the front office before  reporting to class.

  P.M.- Dismissal

Introduction to Stack Data Structure - Dot Net Tutorials

· The car rider line may enter the loop at 2:00 p.m. Please do not go around the line unless you are parking to enter the building.

· No student sign outs are permitted after 2:00 p.m. as the office is preparing for           dismissal. Please note that all parents requesting a dismissal change at the end of the day must pick-up student through the car rider line. You will not be allowed to wait in the office to retrieve students.

·  Parents/guardians should always pull along the curve and stop at the farthest cone available to load students. This will allow others behind you to load at the same time and help the line move faster.

· Each family will/has be issued 2 tags to hang on the rear view mirror. Students will be called out using the assigned number. Each additional tag will cost $5.00.

  • If you arrive to the school without a tag, you must park in the upper parking lot, show ID and be listed on the sign-out list to retrieve the student(s).

· Cars should exit the loading line following the car in front of them. It is a safety hazard to pull around loading cars as other visitors may be attempting to park and/or crossing the parking lot. Please note: You may be asked to pull up if the student is delayed and does not report outside promptly.

· If you arrive after 3:00 p.m., you must come in to retrieve student.  You must be an approved  person and have proper ID to retrieve the student(s).

As always, our goal is to foster and promote a safe environment for our students, staff, and the community that we serve. If you have any questions, please inform us at (803) 789-5164.

Thank you so much for your help with this!!
