CCSD's National Board Cohort started this week. This is a 2-year cohort facilitated by two current National Board-Certified Teachers, Dana Williams and Amanda Freeman. Best of luck to these teachers as they work towards earning their National Board Certification.

December 7, 1941, was a day that changed history and will live on forever. Today, we remember and honor those who lost their lives at Pearl Harbor and those who went on to fight in defense of our nation.

The CCSD Board will hold a special called meeting on Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. to discuss a personnel matter in executive session.

Congratulations to Ms. Patrice Davis of The Learning Center for being the Support Staff of the Month for October 2023!
She works daily with students to develop the skills needed to not only be successful upon their transition back to their home school but also in life. Mrs. Davis continually works to build a trusting relationship with each student in the program and has become a true support system for many of our students.
Thank You, Mrs. Davis, not just for being such an important part of the TLC program, but for being such an outstanding role model and champion for our students

Happy Thanksgiving from Chester County School District! We hope you are enjoying the day with family and loved ones.

We received a report that an unauthorized individual was attempting to gain access to the building. Both CMS and Chester Park Complex were placed on a secure protocol, meaning nobody may enter or exit the building.
Upon investigation by law enforcement, it was determined that the individual was a staff member of the school, and the protocol was lifted.
We wish to remind parents that safety is our top priority, and we will continue to follow our safety guidelines and procedures whenever a situation occurs, no matter the circumstance. We thank you for your continued support!

American Education Week is Nov. 13 - 17, 2023. This week, communities across the country honor the dedicated individuals who work in public schools. CCSD is grateful for the amazing teachers and staff who work hard to make a positive impact in the lives of their students.
