This is usually based on current road conditions and whether buses can transport children safely to and from school.
Should the District move to an eLearning day, additional guidance will be sent out. You can also refer to our eLearning Days Plan for additional information: https://www.chester.k12.sc.us/page/elearning-days-plan.

We were honored to welcome some very special visitors to our schools today as part of our ongoing safety initiatives.
As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure and distraction-free learning environment, our schools participate in routine K9 safety searches throughout the year. These searches are proactive safety measures conducted to help deter prohibited items from entering our campuses.
These visits are not the result of any specific incident but are a regular part of our safety protocols. We appreciate the collaboration of our K9 partners and the cooperation of our students and staff as we continue working together to ensure our schools remain safe places to learn and grow.
Thank you to these amazing four-legged heroes for their continued work!
