Earlier this morning, a Tornado Warning was briefly issued in our area. All schools immediately activated emergency protocols for adverse weather. The Warning has now been lifted, and school operations will proceed as normal. A Tornado Watch has been issued for the Great Falls area.
All students are currently safe at school. CCSD will continue monitoring local weather conditions and send any updates as needed.
We ask that everyone continue to exercise caution as they are traveling throughout the day.

CCSD wrapped up Black History Month with two great school events!
First, students at Lewisville Middle wrote and presented their own versions of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech. Then, students from Chester Park Elementary School of Inquiry put on a fantastic production, showcasing many famous African Americans in the field of science, entertainment, education, and politics.
Great job to all of the students and staff who worked very hard on these presentations!

The latest information from the National Weather Service indicates steady precipitation throughout the day, with below-freezing temperatures overnight. These conditions are likely to create icy roads tomorrow morning.
Due to the potential for unsafe road conditions, all CCSD facilities will be closed on Thursday, February 20, 2025. All 12-month staff members are asked to work remotely as well. All schools and facilities will close at 3:00 p.m. today. The Great Falls High Basketball game will be played at its regular time this evening. We wish the team well as they play this evening!
