The Chester County Board of School Trustees will hold a special called meeting on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. The meeting will take place at the district administrative office at 509 District Office Drive, Chester, South Carolina.
The purpose of the special-called meeting is to assemble for a tour of all district school facilities and return. During the school facilities tour, board members will discuss the capital improvement project needs. District bus transportation will be provided for the board members.

DATE REMINDERS: April 8, 2025, will be an Early Dismissal day for students for staff collaboration and planning across the district. All school dismissal times are available on our website.
Spring Break will be April 21 - 25, 2025. All CCSD Facilities will be CLOSED. Students and staff will return on Monday, April 28, 2025.


A HUGE congratulations to the LHS Lady Lions State Championship Volleyball Team for being recognized at the State House last week. The team received the HIGHEST level of recognition for their achievement. Way to go, ladies!



This year's Giti Tire Steam Competition was a huge success! Teams from across the District competed by building models of fully sustained "smart cities". Congratulations to our three division winners: Lewisville Elementary, Lewisville Middle, and Great Falls High!

The CCSD Board & Administration attended the Chester County Legislative Breakfast for updates from our local reps. AG Alan Wilson shared powerful remarks on combating human trafficking and opioid abuse in SC. Thank you to our local delegation for their continued service to SC!





Due to the increased risk of severe weather in the late afternoon and early evening hours, all after-school and athletic activities will be canceled on March 31, 2025.
We will continue monitoring weather conditions and providing additional updates as needed.


Congratulations to Ms. Suzanne Hough for being named Principal of Great Falls High School and to Mr. Famon Whitfield for being named Assistant Principal! Both were serving in interim roles, and have now been chosen as permanent administrators moving forward. Congratulations!!!



The annual LHS JROTC Military Ball took place Saturday evening at the Gateway Conference Center. A big thank you to everyone who helped organize the event and to all who attended to celebrate these young cadets and their achievements!
