UPCOMING DATES: Friday, October 3, 2025, will be a half-day for students. Dismissal times are as follows:
• Elementary: 11:15 AM
• Middle: 12:00 PM
• High: 12:15 PM

Monday, October 6, 2025, is Teacher Workday. There will be no school for students.

Fall Intersession is scheduled for October 7-10, 2025, with Academic Support available from October 7 to 9, 2025. Only students who receive and return permission letters should plan to attend school for academic support during intersession.

All students will return to normal schedules on Monday, October 13, 2025. Please contact your child's school if you have any questions.

The latest forecast for Tropical Storm Imelda shows that our area is not expected to experience a major impact this week. At this time, no change to our school schedule is anticipated.

We will remain in close contact with Chester County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service as we continue to monitor the storm. Should the forecast change significantly, we will provide an update right away.

The District is currently monitoring weather conditions for next week and working in conjunction with Chester County Emergency Management. As always, we will notify everyone in the event of any school closures or delays due to hazardous weather.

In preparation for a possible e-learning day, we ask that all parents please remind their child to carry home any necessary items or learning devices during the early part of next week.

The safety of our students, school buses, and staff traveling on the roads during potentially hazardous conditions remains a priority. Please continue to check our social media or website for any updates. The District will also send out all necessary updates directly to parents and staff members via phone, text, mobile app, and email.

Earlier this week, CCSD administration, along with school and community representatives, gathered to celebrate the ribbon-cutting for the newly renovated baseball and softball fields behind Chester Middle School. Chester High School senior and baseball player Hunter Rawls also shared how the new fields will positively impact his team and future teams for years to come.

Congratulations to Board Member Ms. Maggie J. James for receiving the South Carolina School Boards Association Civility Initiative Spotlight!

SCSBA has the unique power and privilege to impact civility through the vehicle of storytelling. The SCSBA membership consists of a caring group of professionals whose identities and beliefs live out the tenets of the Civility Initiative. Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Tammy Snipes on being named Interim Superintendent for the Chester County School District!

The Board of Trustees for the Chester County School District met on September 22, 2025, and unanimously voted to appoint Mrs. Tammy Snipes to the role. Mrs. Snipes comes to the position of Interim Superintendent of Chester County Schools following a lifelong career with our District. We look forward to her vision and leadership as we continue to move our district forward!
