Today we pause to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His message of respect, service, and caring for one another continues to inspire people of all backgrounds and beliefs.

Dr. King believed in the power of kindness, understanding, and community. On this day, we encourage reflection on how we can treat others with dignity and work together to make our communities stronger.

We are aware that the Buddhist monks participating in the nationwide Walk for Peace will be in Great Falls tonight and tomorrow morning. While they will not be staying at any of our schools, their presence is expected to draw crowds and increase traffic during the morning commute.

We will be operating on a normal schedule; however, please note the following for tomorrow morning:
• Expect slower traffic, congestion, and limited parking near the school.
• Plan extra travel time if dropping off students.
• Follow any instructions from staff or law enforcement, who will have a heightened presence.
• Do not allow students to leave school grounds to observe the monks or the crowds.
• No overnight parking will be allowed on school property.

We do not anticipate any safety concerns later in the day. Please contact CCSD if you have any questions.

Thank you for your continued cooperation in keeping our school community safe!
