Chester High School will be on a normal operating schedule on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, after repairs to the broken water main have been completed. We apologize for the inconvenience that may have been experienced today with the early dismissal.
We would like to share a little additional information regarding what transpired this weekend and into this morning. The district was notified over the weekend of the break in the main water line at CHS. Crews worked on it and completed a repair. Upon removing sediment to reach the water line break, maintenance crews discovered the damage to be more extensive and required a breach of concreate areas closer to the building to repair secondary issues that were found.
Again, Chester High School will be on a normal operating schedule on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
Due to a water main break affecting the facilities at Chester High School, the Chester County School District will dismiss students at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, October 26. The lack of water service has impacted restroom availability and the school's ability to serve lunch.
The district is currently mobilizing buses to provide transportation for students, and meals are being delivered so that students may receive lunch before being dismissed for the day.
Again, Chester High School will release students at 11:30 a.m. due to the water main break near campus.
The district will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates once water service has been restored, including any additional impacts to school operations.

Good afternoon, parents and families of Chester Park Complex and Chester Middle School.
At approximately 1:03 p.m. Chester Park Complex entered a lockdown following a disturbance in the vicinity of the campus. Shortly after Chester Middle School entered into a lockdown as well. The Chester County Sheriff's Office is responding to the campuses of the Chester Park Complex and Chester Middle School with a heavy law enforcement presence.
At 1:12 p.m. both campuses transitioned to a secure school. As more details become available, CCSD will provide more information.

📚 Important Reminder for CCSD Families 📚
Chester County School District students will attend a half day of school on Friday, October 2. This will be the first of three scheduled half days during the 2026-2027 school year.
Dismissal times are as follows:
🔹 Elementary Schools: 11:15 a.m.
🔹 Middle Schools: 12:00 p.m.
🔹 High Schools: 12:15 p.m.
Following the half day, students will begin their intersession break. We hope our students, families, and staff enjoy this opportunity to rest, recharge, and spend time together.
We look forward to welcoming students back to class on Monday, October 12 as we begin the next phase of a successful school year.

Please be advised that buses returning from a Chester Park Elementary School field trip are running late. This delay will impact all afternoon bus routes for Chester Park Elementary School, Chester Middle School, and Chester High School, with routes expected to be delayed by a minimum of 30 minutes.

In consultation with each of our three high schools, admission prices have been standardized across all schools. The following ticket prices will be charged for athletic events at each high school:
Varsity Football: $10
All Other Sports: $8
Spectators attending athletic events may purchase tickets online through GoFan or pay with cash at the gate. Please note that an online processing fee applies to tickets purchased through GoFan.
Admission prices for middle school athletic events will remain unchanged.

Please be advised that over the next three days, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, August 18-20, Chester County School District will conduct required lockdown drills at each of our schools. During these drills, you may notice an increased law enforcement presence on campus.
These drills are part of our safety and security procedures and are designed to help students and staff understand what to do in the event of an actual emergency requiring a lockdown. State requirements call for schools to conduct two lockdown drills each year.
The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority, and these drills help ensure that everyone is prepared should an emergency occur.
