The Chester County School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Tonia Ashford Moore as the Principal of Chester Park Center of Literacy Through Technology!
Ms. Moore has always had a deep-seated passion for teaching that began during her early years in Charlotte, North Carolina. This eventually guided her to Chester County, where she embarked on a rich journey in education.
She served at Chester Park COLT as a Literacy Coach, where her responsibilities included teaching 4th-grade and kindergarten students. While in this role, she was able to leverage her strong commitment to improving literacy and her innovative approaches to teaching. Her dedication and tireless efforts did not go unnoticed. In fact, during the 2017-2018 school year, she was honored with the prestigious CCSD Teacher of the Year award, a testament to her remarkable performance and contribution to education.
In 2020, her career took a new turn as she accepted the position of Assistant Principal at Great Falls Elementary School. From there, she continued to demonstrate her commitment to education and her drive to make a difference in the lives of her students and the school community at large.
Now, Ms. Moore is on the verge of a new chapter in her career, returning to Chester Park COLT as the new Principal. She is set to bring her wealth of experience and expertise back to the school and continue making a positive impact on students.
