All CCSD after school events and programs have been cancelled for Wednesday, August 30 due to potential bad weather. Based on updates provided by the Chester County Emergency Management Department, we could experience some heavy rainfall, localized flooding and high winds from Hurricane Idalia, especially after sunset this evening.
We will continue to monitor weather conditions and take any necessary safety precautions as warranted to keep our schools safe. We will keep you all informed as needed with updates through email, social media platforms and phone messaging.

With flu season fast approaching, and an uptick in COVID cases around the state, we would like to remind everyone of ways that they can protect themselves from potential illness. For more information please visit: https://scdhec.gov/covid19.

CCSD strives to utilize evidence-based research as a driving factor for implementing safety and security procedures. One of the ways we minimize the opportunity for any contraband to enter our campuses is through regular weapon and drug screenings with the use of trained K9 units. We want to thank our good friends at Alert K9 for continuing to partner with CCSD as we continue to ensure safety across the district.

With a new sports season in full swing, we would like to send a friendly reminder about a few safety policies that will be in effect at each event.
CCSD will continue to use its clear bag policy and metal detector screenings for all attendees.
ALL elementary and middle school-aged students MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times. Dropping children off will not be permitted.
All Chester County School District high school students must have a ticket and show their school ID to attend a high school athletic competition without a parent/guardian.
No one will be allowed to stand, congregate, or “hang out” on the concourse, behind the press box area, or around the concession stand areas during the game.
Spectators must stay at their seats except when going to the restrooms or concession stands.
To read these policies in full, please visit our website at : https://www.chester.k12.sc.us/page/safety-security

All phone lines were down at each CCSD facility earlier this morning. It was discovered that the cause was an external issue. As of 8:55 am, TruVista has confirmed that we are back up and running. We do apologize for the inconvenience.

Another great start to the school year! CCSD was busy touring the county today, seeing each school filled with smiling students and staff members. Let's make this the best school year yet! #CCSDFirstDay23
