Good morning CPE Parents,
This correspondence is to notify you that the school was placed on a secure protocol earlier this morning, meaning that nobody may enter or exit the building. We received a report that an unauthorized individual was attempting to gain access into Chester Middle School. As a precaution the entire Chester Park Complex was placed on a secure protocol as well.
Upon investigation by law enforcement it was determined that the individual was a staff member of the school, and the protocol was lifted. We wish to remind parents that safety is our top priority, and we will continue to follow our safety guidelines and procedures whenever a situation occurs, no matter the circumstance.

ATTENTION: This is an update on how the Boil Water Advisory will impact school operations tomorrow.
Schools will operate on a normal schedule tomorrow but all water fountains will be sealed off. We confirmed with the Chester Metropolitan District that students and staff will be able to wash their hands with soap and utilize hand sanitizer during the day. Students will not be allowed to drink the water.
The district will deliver a few cases of bottled water to all school sites this afternoon but we are also asking parents to send a few bottles of water, if they choose with their children tomorrow.
Our Student Nutrition Staff Members have boil water advisory procedures in place in order to ensure the water is safe for preparing meals in all schools.
If you have any questions about water usage in our schools, please contact your child’s school in the morning.
Reminder: Tuesday, November 7, 2023, will be an Early Dismissal Day for students.
