Today we proudly recognize Deputy Griffin and Mr. Novello, our dedicated School Resource Officers at Chester Park COLT!
Every day, you go far beyond keeping our campus safe — you build relationships, mentor students, support staff, and create an environment where everyone feels secure and cared for. Your presence brings comfort, trust, and positivity to our school community.
Thank you for the smiles in the hallways, the helping hands, and the commitment you show to our students and staff. We are grateful to have you as part of the COLT family!

Wellness Wednesday
Social Emotional Wellness – Put Electronics to Bed 📵💤
Setting clear boundaries around screen time helps children grow healthier — emotionally, socially, and physically. When screens are limited, kids have more time to connect with family, play outside, and get the sleep they need to thrive.
Experts recommend no more than 1–2 hours of total screen time per day and keeping electronics out of bedrooms at night to build healthy habits and better sleep routines.
Try creating a family “device bedtime” and a shared charging station outside bedrooms to make unplugging easier for everyone.

Social Emotional Wellness: Sleep to Succeed
Adequate sleep is a crucial component of health providing benefits such as improved concentration, energy levels, and reduced cravings for junk food. Staying active during the day, going to bed at the same time every night, and sleeping in a cool, dark room are all ways to improve sleep hygiene. Check out this infographic to see how much sleep you and your child need each night.
