Friday, November 7th, at 9:00 a.m. COLT will be having the Veteran's Day Program. All parents, guardians, and veterans are invited to join us.

It's almost time for the Scholastic Book Fair. Don't want your student carrying a lot of cash to school? Set up an eWallet instead. This is an easy, convenient, cashless option for students to shop. Visit our school's book fair website, scroll down to the eWallet option and set up. **Although the website says School of Inquiry, you can still register for an eWallet for your student. All you need to know is their homeroom teacher.

COLT 4th and 5th Grade's Award Ceremony for 1st Nine Weeks
https://youtu.be/2HqIdhyd7I8?feature=shared
Students of 4th grade were exposed to a culture exchange Pen Pal via Zoom. Students in the US got a chance to speak with a standard 2 class from Wesley Lower School in Belize. These students had the same ages of the students in 4th grade. Students got to see the difference between the Education System in the US vs the one in Belize.
Students from Belize learned that education in the US is free, breakfast/lunch is free, textbooks are free and there is also free access to technology.
Students in the US learned that elementary education is not free. At this school, the cost is $75 (U.S. currency) for the year. They also learned only a few textbooks are provided, only breakfast is free, lunch cost $2 and there is no access to technology by the student.
In life it is always important to appreciate even the small things we get to enjoy!
