Friday, November 7th, at 9:00 a.m. COLT will be having the Veteran's Day Program. All parents, guardians, and veterans are invited to join us.

It's almost time for the Scholastic Book Fair. Don't want your student carrying a lot of cash to school? Set up an eWallet instead. This is an easy, convenient, cashless option for students to shop. Visit our school's book fair website, scroll down to the eWallet option and set up. **Although the website says School of Inquiry, you can still register for an eWallet for your student. Students of 4th grade were exposed to a culture exchange Pen Pal via Zoom. Students in the US got a chance to speak with a standard 2 class from Wesley Lower School in Belize. These students had the same ages of the students in 4th grade. Students got to see the difference between the Education System in the US vs the one in Belize.

Students from Belize learned that education in the US is free, breakfast/lunch is free, textbooks are free and there is also free access to technology.

Students in the US learned that elementary education is not free. At this school, the cost is $75 (U.S. currency) for the year. They also learned only a few textbooks are provided, only breakfast is free, lunch cost $2 and there is no access to technology by the student.

In life it is always important to appreciate even the small things we get to enjoy!

Math Trunk or Treat is still on for tomorrow! Instead of trunks, we are moving to classrooms. All activities will be moved to the blue hallway so that students and parents are comfortable to enjoy the festivities.

Calling all parents, teachers, and community members to join us for our monthly School Improvement Meeting and Parent Teacher Organization. Elections will be taking place to elect officers for the school year. We hope to see you there.

Next week we will be the national celebration of Red Ribbon Week, encouraging students to say No to Drugs.
Each day will be a different theme day., with the kick-off being Red Day on Monday, October 27th.
We hope all students and staff participate in this stand against drugs.

The Annual Math Trunk or Treat will be next week, on Tuesday.
Come in school appropriate costume on October 28th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

Congratulations to Lily and Braulio for receiving the "I'm A Champion" pass from 2 Senior Cyclone Football players, Mr. Radford and Mr. Holly!
This pass allows these students one free admission to any 2025-26 Chester Cyclone sporting event, except for the SCHSL playoffs.

If you did not pre-order pictures, please see the attached flyer for instructions on viewing proofs and ordering online. These must be ordered online. Please do not send money to school with your child to purchase these.

When asked for your students' id number, please use the 5-digit number that is printed on their bookbag tags!
