Superintendent Dr. Sutton made storytime extra special for National School Library Week by visiting every elementary school in the district to read to students! By sharing stories and sparking imagination, he hopes to inspire children to have a lifelong love of reading.

Tomorrow, April 8th, will be an early release day. COLT will begin dismissal at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

DATE REMINDERS: April 8, 2025, will be an Early Dismissal day for students for staff collaboration and planning across the district. All school dismissal times are available on our website.
Spring Break will be April 21 - 25, 2025. All CCSD Facilities will be CLOSED. Students and staff will return on Monday, April 28, 2025.


Congratulations to our only COLT Doctor (in education), Dr. Curenton! Her dedication to continuing education and hard work inspire all our students and staff to never give up.

Inviting all parents to attend our 3rd Nine Weeks Pinning Ceremony on Friday, April 4th. Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First will have their ceremony at 8:30 a.m., 2nd and 4th will be at 9:30 a.m., and 3rd and 5th will be at 10:30 a.m.


Thank you all that came to our International Literacy Night. Getting passports stamped, collecting flags, exploring books about places around the world, tasting a variety of food, and so much more lead to a great evening. Special thanks to our amazing Literacy Coach Mrs. Hall-Glasper for coordinating the event.

Chester Park COLT Spring Picture day will be Tuesday, March 25th. Class and Individual pictures will be taken. Order forms will be going home today, Wednesday, March 19th, so please be on the lookout.


The staff had a farewell luncheon yesterday to celebrate our bookkeeper, Ms. Stacey Stringfellow. She has taken a position with the district office.
Congratulations to Ms. Stringfellow on her promotion!


Friday, March 21st is a Teacher Workday. No students will attend.

Thank you to all who came to our Mentoring Matters Luncheon last Friday. We truly appreciate all those who take time out of their busy lives to mentor a COLT student, especially the staff and teachers who mentor students outside their classrooms.
