Mrs. Gaston's 4th grade students put on their scientist hats as they investigated the relationship between mass and force! Students conducted a hands-on experiment by dropping ping pong balls and golf balls and observing what happened.
Through this engaging activity, students discovered how objects with different masses can create different amounts of force, helping them better understand important science concepts through real-world experiences.
We love seeing our students ask questions, make observations, and learn through exploration! Great job, scientists! 💙💛🧪

Mrs. Collins' 5th-grade students had a great time working with partners around the room to review parts of speech! Through collaboration, discussion, and movement, students strengthened their grammar skills while having fun learning together.
This engaging review will help prepare students as they begin their upcoming Expository Writing Unit, where they will use strong language and writing skills to inform and explain.
Way to go, 5th graders! We can't wait to see all the amazing writing that comes next! 💙💛📚✏️

This week, the Chester County School District successfully completed required lockdown drills at each school. These drills help ensure our students and staff are prepared and confident in emergency procedures.
CCSD extends its sincere gratitude to the Chester County Sheriff's Office for their partnership in conducting these drills, participating debriefing discussions, and demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and schools.
Together, we are working to maintain safe, secure learning environments for all.

At Lewisville Elementary, we're committed to building a positive school culture where every Lion feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed. This year, students will be learning and living The C.U.B.S. Way, our schoolwide promise that helps guide our actions each day.
As Lewisville Cubs, we promise:
💙 I will use kind words.
⭐ I will take care of our school.
📖 I will learn and help.
✨ I will make good choices.
Our 1st-5th grade students have already been introduced to the C.U.B.S. Promise, and our Pre-K and Kindergarten students will learn about it during their upcoming presentation. Throughout the year, you'll hear the promise during morning announcements and see it woven into schoolwide activities as we work together to make these commitments part of our daily lives.
At LES, Every Choice Matters, and we are excited to partner with our students and families to make The C.U.B.S. Way more than just words. Together, we're building a community grounded in kindness, responsibility, learning, and positive decision-making.
🦁 The C.U.B.S. Way • Every Choice Matters 🦁

Mrs. Clack and Mrs. Glenn’s 5th grade students have been busy building strong classroom communities during their first week of school!
Students shared their All About Me Bags, giving classmates a glimpse into their personalities, interests, hobbies, and what makes each of them unique. It was a great way to learn more about one another and begin building meaningful connections.
Our 5th graders also took on the classic Saving Fred Challenge, where teamwork, communication, and problem-solving were put to the test! Students worked together to save Fred the worm without using their hands, strengthening collaboration skills while having plenty of fun.
What a fantastic start to 5th grade! We love seeing our Lions learn, connect, and work together as they build a classroom community where everyone belongs. 🦁💙💛

Mrs. Gaston’s 4th grade scientists spent time today creating “Science Around the World” collages as they explored the many ways science impacts our everyday lives!
From nature and weather to technology, transportation, medicine, and more, students discovered that science can be found everywhere we look. Through their creative collages, they made connections between classroom learning and the world around them while practicing observation and critical thinking skills.
Way to go, 4th grade! We love seeing our Lions explore, create, and think like scientists. 🦁🔍🧪

If you spotted some unusually decorated teachers roaming the halls of LES today, there's a good reason! 😎🚀⭐❤️
Today was our first Tattoo a Teacher Friday, and our staff proudly showed off the tattoos chosen by students! From dinosaurs and rockets to hearts, stars, and everything in between, the creativity was on full display across campus.
This fun fundraiser supports our monthly Math and Reading Challenges, helping provide opportunities that encourage students to grow as readers, strengthen their math skills, and have fun learning. Best of all, students got to see their tattoo choices come to life as teachers wore them with pride today!
To make the day even more special, our staff also dressed in red, white, and blue as we celebrated LES Independence Day and cheered on our newest Lions as they walked into their classrooms independently. It was a day filled with school spirit, smiles, and memorable moments!
Thank you to everyone who helped make today so much fun while supporting our students.
Make sure to check out the LES Facebook page to see ALL the pictures of our Tattooed Teachers on the Loose! https://www.facebook.com/lewisvilleelementary 🦁💙💛

Today, our Lewisville Lions celebrated a very special milestone as our Pre-K and Kindergarten students walked into their classrooms independently! ❤️🤍💙
Our youngest Lions showed so much courage and confidence as they took this big step toward independence. The hallways were filled with red, white, and blue as students and staff came together to cheer them on and celebrate this exciting moment.
We are so proud of our newest Lions and grateful to our families for helping make today such a memorable start to the school year. Here's to growing, learning, and becoming more independent every day!

Our LES 3rd grade students kicked off the school year by exploring a variety of science tools during their very first week of school! From observing and investigating to asking questions and making discoveries, these young scientists are learning how to use the tools that help them explore the world around them.
We love seeing their curiosity, excitement, and enthusiasm for learning shine through as they begin their scientific journey this year. The future is bright at LES! 🌟🦁
