101st Day of School - 101 Dalmatians Day
101st Day of School - 101 Dalmatians Day
The latest weather data indicates a chance of light snow developing after 5 p.m. this evening. As such, all after-school and athletic activities will be canceled for Tuesday, January 21, 2025. The District will also operate on a 2-hour delay Wednesday, January 22, 2025, as overnight freezing may cause hazardous driving conditions during the morning hours. This means that students who ride the bus, should be at their stop 2 hours later than normal. All students and staff should also report to their school buildings 2 hours later than normal. We ask that everyone continue to monitor local weather forecasts and CCSD social media for the latest information. Parents/staff members will be directly contacted via phone call, text, and email with updates as needed. Parents, PLEASE ensure that your contact information is up-to-date and accurate in PowerSchool, so you do not miss any official school district announcements. Thank you!

The Chester County School District will follow its regular schedule on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. While there are currently no indications that adverse winter weather will have a heavy impact on our area, we will continue to monitor conditions closely. Also due to colder-than-usual morning temperatures, we remind parents and students to please dress appropriately over the course of the week. As always, if any schedule changes occur, CCSD will notify parents and staff directly through phone calls, text messages, and emails.

January 17, 2025: Awards Programs - 4th grade 8:15am, 2nd grade 9:00am, 3rd grade 9:45am, 5th grade 10:30am
The National Weather Service has given an update predicting potentially dangerous winter weather conditions tomorrow morning including falling snow/ice. Freezing temperatures will likely create icy road conditions, making it hazardous for our buses to operate while transporting students. For the safety of our school community, the Chester County School District will move to an asynchronous remote learning day on Friday, January 10, 2025. All after-school activities and athletic events scheduled for Friday-Sunday will also be canceled. With asynchronous instruction, students work independently on the work provided. Teachers will advise students of all assignments for the day and will be available during normal school hours via email to provide support as needed. Please ensure that students take home all necessary materials. All District staff members are also asked to work remotely. We will continue to monitor the situation and send updates as needed. Please continue to watch local weather forecasts and stay safe!

Winter Break December 23, 2024-Jan 3, 2025
Well, today's the day friends. This will be my last email report for LES, as it's December 20, and today marks my last day on duty. I don't even know what to say except for thank you! Thank you, LES, for being my best (and favorite) assignment EVER. I've made some great new friends and I had a whole bunch of fun. I had to save my best shenanigan for last, and tell everyone good morning and happy Friday, just like Mrs. Stone does (by the way, tell her thanks for inviting me to LES to do surveillance). Maybe we can get someone to do a survey to see if I should come back next year too- Mrs. Shaw, Mrs. Barron, and Ms. Wright, I'm giving you that job. I am so so proud of all of you and I am sure gonna miss all of you so, so much (even you Officer Threatt 😄). I hope that all of you have an awesome holiday break with your families! I love you all to the North Pole and back! Love, Roary Keep up with Roary's Adventures in the Link Below: https://www.chester.k12.sc.us/o/les/article/1899295

What do elves do after school? Gnome-work. Hehehe...I decided to relax and just "play" it cool (see what I did there?). Ms. Taylor's classroom was the perfect place to do this. Louie was in the kitchen cooking us a feast and I was getting some important phone calls and emails taken care of. Let's just say, cooking is not Louie's strong suit, and we will leave the cooking to those super awesome lunch ladies! My final good behavior shoutouts go to Miss Smith's class for good hallway behavior and Mrs. Williams' class playing well at recess, and Miss Treadway's class for doing well in the lunchroom.
