Last night, the community gathered to celebrate the amazing achievements and awards of the Great Falls High senior class. Congratulations, Great Falls High School Class of 2024!

REMINDER: Graduation ceremonies will take place June 1, 2024, with Chester High School at 8:00 a.m., Lewisville High School at 10:00 a.m., and Great Falls High School at 11:30 a.m.
CCSD wishes to remind the public that the Clear Bag Policy will be in effect during that day. The policy can be read in full on our website: https://www.chester.k12.sc.us/page/safety-security. Law enforcement officials will be on site for public safety. We ask that everyone please be mindful of increased traffic entering and leaving each high school campus.

CCSD is happy to announce that our Board of Trustees approved the first reading of the 2024 – 2025 budget during its last meeting. The budget included an average 6.5% salary increase for teachers, a 5% increase for bus drivers, and a 5% cost of living plus step increase for all other employees.
Additionally, a NEW $2500 Certified Classroom Teacher Bonus was included. This bonus is an initiative of the Board to recruit and retain full-time classroom teachers in our schools.

The Chester County School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Tonia Ashford Moore as the Principal of Chester Park Center of Literacy Through Technology!
Ms. Moore has always had a deep-seated passion for teaching that began during her early years in Charlotte, North Carolina. This eventually guided her to Chester County, where she embarked on a rich journey in education.
She served at Chester Park COLT as a Literacy Coach, where her responsibilities included teaching 4th-grade and kindergarten students. While in this role, she was able to leverage her strong commitment to improving literacy and her innovative approaches to teaching. Her dedication and tireless efforts did not go unnoticed. In fact, during the 2017-2018 school year, she was honored with the prestigious CCSD Teacher of the Year award, a testament to her remarkable performance and contribution to education.
In 2020, her career took a new turn as she accepted the position of Assistant Principal at Great Falls Elementary School. From there, she continued to demonstrate her commitment to education and her drive to make a difference in the lives of her students and the school community at large.
Now, Ms. Moore is on the verge of a new chapter in her career, returning to Chester Park COLT as the new Principal. She is set to bring her wealth of experience and expertise back to the school and continue making a positive impact on students.

CCSD was well represented this week at the Mid-Carolina AHEC 2024 Health Careers Program Ceremony! 7 students completed the program, 6 of which were Seniors who received cords! Congratulations to these students for their amazing accomplishments!
