🔴 Wednesday (28th) – Wear Red: Rally in red for being drug and bully free!
💙💛 Thursday (29th) – LES Spirit Day: “We fit together” – wear yellow/gold and blue!
📚 Friday (30th) – Book Character Day: Hide from drugs—wear your favorite book character costume!

All 2nd grade students will be assessed October 15th-23rd. The results of these assessments will be utilized to determine eligibility for the ACCENT (Gifted & Talented) program.
Please be sure students get a good night’s rest the day before testing and have a healthy breakfast the morning of testing. Also, make sure students arrive at school on time, as testing will begin promptly at 8:15 each morning. Students should not be absent during this time.

📚 Important Reminder for CCSD Families 📚
Chester County School District students will attend a half day of school on Friday, October 2. This will be the first of three scheduled half days during the 2026-2027 school year.
Dismissal times are as follows:
🔹 Elementary Schools: 11:15 a.m.
🔹 Middle Schools: 12:00 p.m.
🔹 High Schools: 12:15 p.m.
Following the half day, students will begin their intersession break. We hope our students, families, and staff enjoy this opportunity to rest, recharge, and spend time together.
We look forward to welcoming students back to class on Monday, October 12 as we begin the next phase of a successful school year.

During the presentation, Officer Tori explained what bullying is and helped students understand the different forms it can take, including physical, verbal, and social bullying. She emphasized that bullying is hurtful and can have a lasting impact on others. Students were encouraged to treat their classmates with kindness, respect, and empathy.
Way to go, Lions! 🦁🎉 Mrs. King's class has officially "Zearned It" for the month of September 2026! Through hard work, perseverance, and dedication to their math learning, these students met their Zearn lesson completion goals and showed what it means to be Lions Empowered to Succeed!

September 25, 2026: LES will celebrate Dolly Day in conjunction with World Kindness Week. Please wear country and western attire, pink, rhinestones, or a Dolly shirt. Students are also reminded to share at least one random act of kindness during the day. (A note to a teacher, former teacher, janitor, cafeteria, or other staff member; open a door for a friend, or share kind words with family members.)
