Here’s our tentative schedule for Fall MAP assessments. Please mark your calendars and help your students be prepared and well-rested!
🗓️ Testing Dates:
📖 Reading MAP – August 11, 2026
➕ Math MAP – August 12, 2026
🔬 Science MAP (4th Grade Only) – August 13, 2026
📘 MAP Reading Fluency – August 10-21, 2026
✍️ Language MAP (Optional) – August 14, 2026

The first day of the 2026–2027 school year is almost here, and we can’t wait to see our hallways filled with smiling faces once again!
Here are a few important reminders to help make the first day a great one:
✅ Morning Drop-Off: Students may be dropped off in the morning car rider line beginning at 7:15 AM.
🍽️ Breakfast: Breakfast is FREE for all students! Breakfast service ends at 7:45 AM, so please make sure your child arrives in time to enjoy breakfast before class.
🕝 Dismissal: School ends at 2:30 PM.
We are looking forward to an amazing year of learning, growing, and achieving together. Thank you for partnering with us as we begin another exciting school year!

🎉 PreK & Kindergarten Families – Important Info for the First Week! 🎉
We’re so excited to welcome our newest Lewisville Lions! 🐾
👣 PreK & Kindergarten parents may walk their child to class on their first two days of school to help ease those first-day jitters. After that, our little learners will begin walking in on their own like the confident students they are!
🎆 Friday is Independence Day Celebration!
Let’s show our patriotic pride—students are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue as they walk in independently and celebrate together!
We can’t wait to kick off a fantastic school year! 💙❤️🤍

Lewisville Elementary School families, Nurse Cassie has created a Remind account for the 2026-2027 school year to make communication easier and more convenient! Parents can use Remind to ask questions, share health updates, let the nurse know when a student is sick, or communicate other important health-related information.
Please note that all messages will be returned with a message or phone call on the next school day. Messages sent after school hours will be addressed during school hours on the following school day.

Reminder: Car Riders will keep the same number and tags as last year. If new tags are needed for this year, they are $5.00 each. You can buy new tags at Meet the Teacher. Please bring cash to pay for tags. New students to LES will receive 2 tags for free. Any additional tags will be $5.00 each. Please keep up with your tags, as this tag and number will follow your child every year they are at LES.

To help our youngest Lions have a smooth and successful start to the school year, Lewisville Elementary School will use a Pre-K Staggered Start Schedule during the first week of school.

A staggered start allows teachers to spend extra time getting to know each child, establishing routines, and helping our Pre-K students feel comfortable and confident in their new learning environment.
Your child's teacher will share additional information as we get closer to the start of school.

Before you come, please make sure your child's FinalForms registration is complete. All new and returning students are required to register each school year, and proof of residency must be submitted during the registration process.

Be sure to stop by and participate in our exciting "Tattoo a Teacher" Fundraiser!
🎨 Students can purchase temporary tattoos for their favorite teachers to wear on the first Friday of the school year!
💵 Tattoo prices range from $1, $3, $5, and $10 (cash only).
📚 All proceeds will support our monthly Math and Reading Challenges, helping us reward and celebrate our students throughout the year!
It's a fun way to support our school while adding a little extra excitement to the start of the year!

These tags will be used this coming school year again, and your child will keep the same car rider number for every year they attend LES. Keeping your tag handy will help ensure a smooth and efficient pickup process when school resumes.
