UPDATE: No weapon has been found on the school property, and rumors circulating on social media that shots were fired on campus were determined to be false. The school has moved to a Secure Protocol so that students can continue their normal schedules.
Students have been secured in their classrooms since the lockdown however we are aware that some students fled the property. We ask that those students return to campus as soon as possible so they may be accounted for. They are to return to the school bus loop at the Great Falls High School. We ask that no parents come onto the campus unless they are returning a student to school.
Law Enforcement will remain on the scene furthering this investigation. We are seeking the community’s cooperation in conducting a smooth school release at the normal time (3:30 P.M.).
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

Great Falls High has been placed on lockdown due to an incident involving a fight. At this time no weapons have been recovered, and no injuries have been reported.
We’ve heard rumors via social media that “shots have been fired.” It has been confirmed that it is untrue.
Chester County Sheriff's Office is currently on the scene investigating. We will send any updates as soon as they are available.

District leadership met yesterday to discuss and prepare for the upcoming COGNIA reaccreditation. We'll be sure to share more news as the process continues. #ForwardTogetherForStudentSuccess
