Dear Parents and Community Members,
On behalf of Chester County School District, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our community partners, school personnel, and law enforcement officers for their swift and professional response to today’s incident at Great Falls High School. The incident involved an anonymous call of a bomb threat to the school. The school district is on an intersession week, and the majority of the students were not at the school.
The Chester County Sheriff’s Deputies completed a search of the Great Falls High School campus, and there was nothing of concern found or located. All students who were on campus at the time of the incident were successfully reunited with their families. The students did a great job remaining calm and following directions. We are very proud of them.
We are grateful for the cooperation, patience, and understanding shown by our families and community partners during this time. Your support allows us to focus on what matters most—providing a safe and nurturing environment for our students to learn and thrive.
Thank you again for your trust and commitment to our schools.
With appreciation,
Tammy Snipes
Interim Superintendent
Chester County School District

From CCSD Interim Superintendent, Mrs. Tammy Snipes:
I am truly honored to step into the role of Interim Superintendent for the Chester County School District.
This community is more than just where I work; it is my home. Having grown up here and spent my career in this district, I feel a deep sense of pride and responsibility as I return to this capacity. It brings great joy to reconnect with familiar faces, while also getting to know those who have joined our school family more recently.
I would also like to take a moment to thank Dr. Antwon Sutton for his many contributions. His leadership has helped build the foundation for success in our district, and his commitment to students and staff will be remembered for years to come.
As I begin this new chapter with you, I want to assure you that our children will remain at the core of every decision we make. Schools are at the heart of our community, bringing families together and shaping the future of Chester County through our children. With your continued support and involvement, we can ensure that our students not only succeed academically but also grow into confident and compassionate young adults.
My approach to leadership is rooted in listening and collaboration. I encourage you to share your thoughts, ideas, and concerns with me openly. Your perspectives matter, and they will help guide the direction of our district as we continue to grow and improve.
Thank you for the warm welcome I have already received. I would also like to give my thanks to the Chester County Board of School Trustees for giving me this opportunity. I look forward to visiting schools, spending time with students, and celebrating the many successes that lie ahead.
Together, I know we will accomplish great things for the children of Chester County.

The District is currently monitoring weather conditions for next week and working in conjunction with Chester County Emergency Management. As always, we will notify everyone in the event of any school closures or delays due to hazardous weather.
In preparation for a possible e-learning day, we ask that all parents please remind their child to carry home any necessary items or learning devices during the early part of next week.
The safety of our students, school buses, and staff traveling on the roads during potentially hazardous conditions remains a priority. Please continue to check our social media or website for any updates. The District will also send out all necessary updates directly to parents and staff members via phone, text, mobile app, and email.
Thank you for your cooperation, and please stay safe.
